Introducing Activity Feed and Leaderboards

As the market ebbs and flows, there is one universal truth that our community can count on: Async team will be building and adding value to the platform.

Here are some features that have been a long-time waiting and key to telling the programmable media story:

Activity Feed

For those who haven't been visiting our Discord, you’ve been missing out on live auctions, bidding wars, Layer changes, music recordings, loan activity, shenanigans between collectors… just to name a few.

A lot of action is happening behind a light curtain, and now we’ve brought them forward to live in its full glory on our website. There is something going on every day, and something for everyone.

What sets Async pieces apart from other NFTs are the INTERACTIONS you can do with them. The stories you can tell within the Layers, the community banding together, and the history written within each of them. Osinachi’s “Choose the Man You Will Become” during #BlackOutTuesday is still the best example that comes to mind.

In the activity feed you can take a peek at what is being sold, being created, being changed, being recorded.. You name it!

And in true community fashion, you can give an upvote for an activity that you particularly enjoyed. With the “Top Activity” enabled, you can check out some of the most popular Layer changes, music recordings, or sales. Our current top fav is Roham, CEO of Dapper Labs, playing around with his Hackatao Layer:

Leaderboards

This feature has been deliberated for quite awhile. We want to celebrate community, highlight the top fans, and at the same time stay away from unhealthy competition or an arbitrary popularity contest.

Most Active User goes to Lee Gaito, who was tirelessly changing their debut Async Music (with 9 Stems) before their auction~

The team landed on rewarding mindful user actions. Changing an artwork or music. Making a recording. Minting creations.

XCOPY has been one of the most prolific artists and "The Rabble" contains over 41 Layers in one artwork.

Participating in the Async platform shows how much our community believes in the shared vision. The future is truly digital, and these new features will pave the way for more fun and interesting ways to interact with programmable media.
