To celebrate our upcoming Kitty Bungalow digital charity event at Cryptovoxels, the amazing Cryptoart community came together to create Async collaborations of epic proportions.
Featuring 34 unique artists that are either accepted on the platform or on our waitlist, we present to you three Kitty-themed Async artwork to be auctioned off and proceeds donated to Kitty Bungalow during the weekend of July 10-12.
First off, we have a world crafted by Alotta Money and his team of collaborators: Hidden Forces, TS Moreau, Shortcut, Fabiello, Carlos Marcial, BrucetheGoose, CryptotheGiant, Vulon, & Plouzza.
“Big Trouble in Māo Māo City'' takes immersive world-building to another level. Very similar to “Dictatorship” Alotta takes you to a different universe, one which hoomans no longer are in control, cats have taken over, and a whole new Kittenistory is being written.
According to ancient texts, an Elite Guard of the Emperor was exiled after unwittingly committing a taboo act with the Emperor’s kitcoubine. “Aditi of the Kung Paw” is the name of the fugitive, and artist TS Moreau has imbued his Kitty with expert-level martial art skills such as “Flowing Paw Stance”, “Flying Reverse Claw”, and of course our favorite: “Emerging Hairball Blast”.
Facing off against Aditi is Hidden Forces’ “Shaolin Sphynx”, a worthy contender who has secretly studied and practiced with the monks of Shao Mountain. Marked by heterochromia and Feiyu sneakers, the Sphynx brings his own set of unique abilities such as “Roar of the Sphynx”, “Cat Box Sweep”, and “Flying Tiger Kick”.
With the Emperor recently usurped, Plouzza’s “Kitty God’s Army” militantly patrols the streets and Carlos Marcial’s “Stray Cats” parade their huge weapons in an uneasy era of peace.
The city’s denizens are undoubtedly on edge with the recent development.
Shortcut’s “Short-cats” seek answers to the latest crime in a dingy alleyway while Bruce’s Spectating Cats watch nervously from their window sills. Marlene and her kittens by Fabiello picked a prime seat in the alleyway, ready with her device that she can’t afford to record the latest confrontation.
“Ol’ Mangy Catstard” by Vulon, when he is not drunk off of his paws, can be caught graffiting something that resembles an emblem of hope. CryptotheGiant provided four different “Blockchain Cat Tags” to play around with.
Will you choose private or public, programmable or static?
Lastly we have the master of world building himself, Alotta Money with his ever-omniscient “Eyes of Kitty God” to watch and observe every single movement in Māo Māo City. His Layer influences the giant Cat statue that everyone worships and full of internet memes and iconic references. You can be sure that everything happens for a reason in this town.
The stage has been set. The players have gathered. All that remains is for the Layers to go to new owners, so that the fate of Māo Māo City can be determined.
Stay tuned this entire week to learn more about the other pieces in our Async collaboration series: “Pixel Story” write-up and “Forgotten Cats of Fallen Leaves Forest”.
Due to the extreme amount of Layers in all the Kitty collaborations, we’re encouraging artists to auction off their Kitty during the entire week instead of the event weekend. Once their minimum reserve is met, they will start a manual 24 hr countdown to accept the highest bid. If a new higher bid comes in on the piece, the 24 hr countdown is reset, until the highest bid wins. (This is called the “Coldie” method and is widely used within the Cryptoart community).
For the 3 Masters, there is a hidden reserve price. Once met, we will accept the highest bid without a countdown or a grace period, starting this week! It is very possible to take home any of the 3 Async Kitty collaboration pieces BEFORE July 10th if hidden reserve price is met.
If the hidden reserve price is not met, we will accept the highest bid on Sunday July 12th, and donate all its proceeds to Kitty Bungalow charity event. Learn more about the event here.
