NFT Credit Card Purchases Now Available On Async Blueprints

You can now purchase art and music Editions on Async using a credit card thanks to our new integration with the user-friendly payment tool Wert. The partnership with the e-commerce-style payment provider aims to make Web3 accessible to all, not only those familiar with the NFT and crypto space.

Credit card payment option appears beside “Mint with ETH” button

The credit card payment option will be visible when you visit any Async Blueprints collection and choose to mint an Edition. To start collecting artwork and music, all users need to do is sign up for an Async account via email, input their details, and go through the credit card payment process – no different from any e-commerce purchase.

Input mobile number and card details to confirm your purchase

Users can make purchases from this list of supported countries and US states using VISA, Mastercard, and Apple Pay. There will be no document upload requirements on smaller purchases. Wert will require your address and phone number in order to set up an account.

This feature aims to simplify the process of buying NFTs on Async. We understand that not everyone is familiar with using cryptocurrency, nor has time to set up exchange accounts and wallets. The credit card integration should cut out any steps that may be a challenge for the non-crypto native and give fans easy access to art and music NFTs from their favorite creators.

Credit card payments will allow artists and musicians to connect with their wider fan base, as well as those well-versed in the NFT and Web3 space. Many traditional collectors, particularly those with vinyl collections looking to explore digital music collectibles, will be able to access music NFTs with ease through Music Blueprints.

Music Blueprints can now be minted with credit card

We chose to partner with Wert because its payment system includes on-chain settlement, respecting the blockchain infrastructure on which Async is built. Its integration with existing smart contracts means the payment process remains decentralized.

You are still able to pay with Ether (ETH) on Async and connect via your crypto wallet. Nothing has changed to this payment method and we still encourage crypto payments on the website. The credit card option simply provides the community with another option for making purchases.

We are committed to breaking down the barriers of entry to Web3 and believe NFT credit card integration is an important step in democratizing the space, and welcoming everyone to start collecting art and music NFTs.

The feature will be available on all Async Blueprints from July 2022.
