On Dai for ‘sä-v(ə-)rən-tē

We’re absolutely blown away by last year’s reception of Micah Johnson’s “‘sä-v(ə-)rən-tē”, a time-sensitive programmable artwork that seeks to positively impact two boys in a substantial way. Jacque and Rayden’s story have touched many people’s hearts - resulting in the artwork being featured in a physical billboard in downtown LA, NBC news, and being awarded NFT of the Year.

A very unique opportunity presented itself early 2021 to further amplify the artwork’s message to more folks: The Maker Foundation called upon their community to offer another donation channel for the two boys. In the same ethos of Bitcoin, Dai is a stablecoin that is completely governed by its community. It allows anyone, regardless of economic standing, access to financial services that will lead to financial freedom without involving centralized entities.

In addition to protection against volatility, DAI also can be locked into a Dai Savings Rate (DSR) smart contract to earn steady savings. There are no fees involved, no geographic constraints, and no liquidity impediments—no minimum deposit is required to earn the DSR, and all or any portion of Dai can be withdrawn at any time.

Our team is excited to present the addition of a second wallet that will collect DAI for Jacque and Rayden. Interested parties can find the donation QR codes on the Featured page:

Join us on Twitter and Discord on February 11th as we welcome the DAI community into a decade-long collaboration to celebrate and encourage equity within our society.
