One of the latest Async pieces that is really blowing our minds right now is “Regalia” from /nuercas (Fabin Rasheed), who also created “In Other News”.

What makes Regalia special is that it is an Async piece that directly influences an art tool that allows anyone to create wondrous Mandalas.

Fabin is currently hosting a social contest with a prize of a $70 Amazon Gift Card or 0.3 ETH!

To enter, you just have to create and tweet your own Regalia with the #AsyncRegalia hashtag and like and retweet his original post.

You can get started at https://nurecas.github.io/regalia/.

Check out some of the awesome Regalias from our community:

We have 4 Layers in Regalia, each influencing a key aspect of the mandala:

1) Insignia

This is the centerpiece of the Regalia. Depending on what the Layer owner designates, the center can alternate between 7 different AI-generated watercolor designs from a collection that the artist himself curated.

2) Brush Size

This Layer dictates the stroke size of the lines made. There are three options, small, medium and large. Here we see the difference between small brush vs medium brush:

3) Color Palette

If you’ve been playing around with the tool, you probably noticed the lines cycle through a preset palette of colors whenever you lift the finger from the screen/let go of the mouse click. This Layer allows the owner to cycle through five gorgeous color palettes. We’ve seen “Nature” as well as “Royal”. There are several more waiting for new owners to unlock!

4) Symmetry

This is probably the most impactful Layer. Changing the planes of symmetry drastically alters how the Regalia will look. Here’s an example from 15 planes of symmetry versus 30 planes of symmetry (maximum amount).

We’re all excited to see what kind of Regalias you will create. Anyone can participate in the #AsyncRegalia contest, and tune in on Sunday on our Discord and Twitter to see who wins, as well as the auction for this technological marvel!

Also happening this Sunday is our first ever Async gallery in Decentraland. Our pieces will be on full display in virtual land. Check out the building, take the elevators and explore the different floors, and relax to the medley soundtrack we hand-picked for ya.

Stay tuned for more details. Meanwhile, hoping everyone stays safe and positive out there!
